I’m back with your request that you’ve been waiting oh so long to hear! Make sure if you made a dedication to have your person listen to it. Spread the word of Hello K-POP w/ DJ Annyeong!
Please tune in tomorrow (Friday, September 13th) at 6PM for DJ Annyeong on aewen.com!
Hello to all my listeners and fans!
It has been awhile since I have greeted you all and unfortunately I come with sad news. You may have all noticed a pattern of my disappearance and lack of releases. There has been so much going on in my life that I don’t seem to have a spare moment to come back here to you all. I am approaching my last year in college, which means I’ll be graduating soon. I need to be putting all my focus into my last year, so I hope you understand. It’s difficult for me to continue because I run this podcast by myself and I don’t get paid doing it, though it is very enjoyable. We passed the one year anniversary for Hello K-Pop and so much has happened since I started the show. I’m very grateful for everything that has happened, especially to the enormous amount of listeners. I thank you all.
DON’T THINK THIS IS END! This is definitely not the end for Hello K-Pop or DJ Annyeong. Here are a few things to note:
- Episode #23: Your Request #6 will still be released (I’m aiming for this Friday).
- There will be a “goodbye” episode.
- I will be hosting a live chat (most likely through USTREAM) to chat with you all.
- I will be continuing my sessions over at Aewen Radio since they are once a month and the episodes are much easier to put together. So please tune to Aewen Radio to listen to DJ Annyeong once a month!
I will see you all very soon!
Just when I decide to come back there has been a small problem! My old episodes like the Dream High, #1, and #2 have been disappearing off my iTunes list. I’m currently trying to take care of it with my provider, but for the moment I’m not going to post anything this week because I don’t want my episodes to constantly be disappearing!
This is a good time for you to check out Aewen Radio! I’ll be making my debut on Aewen Radio this Friday, July 12th at 6PM PST time. Please be sure to tune in and show your support for me! Head to http://www.aewen.com! There is a chatroom on the website and we can all talk there while we listen. I hope to see you all there.

Many female solo acts are rising once again with many first generations making their comeback and many young females making a name for themselves in this very saturated market. I’ll be bringing you a different variety of K-Pop female solo artists today. I decided to talk about the ones who are purely solo, meaning they started off solo or are now solo with no ties to their former groups.
I have been gone for quite awhile now. Ironically the moment I decide to step back in the the K-Pop scene, everyone decides to make a comeback. There’s so much going on that I do not even know where to begin. I am pretty sure you are all more updated than I am. But, here’s a few songs that I am currently jamming to and that I think you should check out!
Let’s Break Up – Seo In Young
I Dance – Ivy ft. Yubin (from the Wonder Girls)
Give It To Me – SISTAR
I owe you all a huge apology for disappearing once again. I think this is the longest time I’ve gone missing. I am so sorry. This quarter at school has been horribly rough for me with personal issues and school work. Please understand that I am currently a one-man team and I do this for free out of my own time. I will be coming back in about two week or so as school is coming to a close.
Someone on my YouTube channel brought up the idea of having a live chat and I thought that was really interesting. It seems like a great way to meet my listeners and a great way for you all to meet me. We can talk, you can ask questions, and best of all you can watch me be awkward! Haha. I’d like to know if you’re interested first because I wouldn’t want a low turnout.
In my video blog, I mentioned about bringing another corner called “K-Pop Coffee Talk”. This corner allows for more of discussion on topics/issues in the K-Pop scene. This could sometimes end in a debate. Usually my co-host and I will either take opposite sides on the topic or we actually both might agree. We’ll even ask for your opinions as well! There still will be music playing, but I’m just trying to bring a variety of things to the show. What would you like us to talk about? You can even add in your own topic.
I would like to welcome you all to the first edition of What’s New K-Pop! If you haven’t figured it out, this corner is all about filling you in on all the happenings in the K-Pop music scene. Who debuted? Who made a comeback? Who is currently #1? I’ll be answering all of that for you. This is corner is made for people who want to be up on the latest mainstream K-Pop. As for right now, this corner will happen when there’s a massive amount of music released.. like currently!
If you turn to variety shows and music shows you’ll most likely see these K-Pop stars promoting, in order, today we have: B.A.P., Rainbow, SHINee, Rania, 2AM, D-UNIT, Davichi, U-KISS, Ladies Code, Girls Day, Teen TOP, Infinite, Lee Hi, G.NA, and 15&.
I’m always looking for feedback, so let me know how you like this new corner? Too much talking? Would you rather me just play the music?
